What is the ruling on hijab in the presence of a blind teacher?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling on hijab in the presence of a blind teacher?

The Shaykh : It is not obligatory to observe hijab in the presence of a blind teacher, based on the statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to Fatimah bint Qays:
Spend the waiting period in the house of Ibn Umm Maktum for he is blind and you can undress اعتدّي في بيت ابن أم مكتوم فإنه رجل أعمى تضعين ثيابك عنده
Sunan Abi Dawud 2284Sahih (Al-Albani)
Also, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted Aishah to look at the Abyssinians while they were playing in the mosque. Therefore, it is permissible for a woman to look at a man, provided she does not look at him with desire or take pleasure in looking at him and find enjoyment in it, and she is not required to observe hijab from him.
As for what is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Are you both blind? أفعمياوان أنتما
, this is a weak hadith and does not serve as a proof. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
