If someone were to ask: How is it said that seeking help is exclusively for Allah, when it is established in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
cooperate in righteousness and pietyوتعاونوا على البر والتقوى
[Al-Ma'idah 5:2]
that assistance comes from other than Allah (Mighty and Majestic)?
We say: Seeking help is of two types: seeking help by entrusting oneself, meaning that you rely on Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and disavow your own power and strength, and this is exclusive to Allah (Mighty and Majestic); and seeking help by participating in what you wish to accomplish, and this is not worship. For this reason, Allah the Exalted said:
cooperate in righteousness and pietyتعاونوا على البر والتقوى
[Al-Ma'idah 5:2]
