The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the killing of the hypocrites in his saying: (so that people do not say that Muhammad kills his companions)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) refrained from killing the hypocrites,
lest the people say Muhammad kills his companionsحتى لا يتحدث الناس أن محمدا يقتل أصحابه
Sahih al-Bukhari 4907
, so people in this matter are at two extremes and in the middle: some people follow people in everything, monitoring them, and some say, "I have no concern with people," meaning they should proceed on the right path. What is the criterion for monitoring them?

The Shaykh : The criterion is that a person is trusted regarding his religion, and a person is not to be made to monitor anyone in their religion ever, except if there is a strong suspicion and he wants to verify, otherwise it is not permissible, because the original rule is that the Muslim is respected, respected in his honor, respected in his wealth, and respected in his life.
