Is it from the Sunnah for a man to walk to the Fajr prayer barefoot?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The Shaykh, may Allah reward you: Is it from the Sunnah in the Fajr prayer for a person to go to the mosque barefoot?

The Shaykh : No, it is not from the Sunnah for a person to walk to the Fajr prayer barefoot, nor to the Zuhr prayer, nor to the 'Asr prayer, nor to any of the prayers. However, it is from the Sunnah for a person to walk barefoot at times, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
He used to prohibit excessive wearing of sandals and would order the wearing of sandals at times. كان ينهى عن كثرة الإرفاه، ويأمر بالاحتفاء أحياناً
. As for Fajr or any of the other prayers, they have no specific characteristic in this regard.
