Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A woman asks: She saw in a dream that a man had passed away, and after a few days, this dream was interpreted, or it became apparent that this man’s face was afflicted with smallpox. She feared that if she told him, it might be because he has a debt, according to the interpretation of this dream. What is your guidance for this woman?

The Shaykh : Does that mean she saw that this living man had died?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : She saw a living man who had died, so he was afflicted with smallpox, and she fears that he will die from it, that he will die from this smallpox?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : It is obligatory for her here to tell him, not that she saw him dead, but to tell him by saying: This illness that has afflicted you is a warning for you to do what is obligatory upon you regarding the rights of Allah and the rights of people. If you have a debt, pay it off, or make a bequest to someone to pay it off if you are unable to pay it off during your lifetime.
