The reciter: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah, 'Amr al-Naqqad, and Zuhr ibn Harb narrated to us, saying: Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us from al-Zuhri from Sa'id from Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: And Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn Ziyad narrated to me, saying: Ibrahim—meaning ibn Sa'd—narrated to us from al-Zuhri from Sa'id and Abu Salimah from Abu Hurayrah from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said: And Harimah ibn Yahya narrated to me, and the wording is his, saying: Ibn Wahb narrated to us, saying: Yunus narrated to me from Ibn Shihab, saying: Abu Salimah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman informed me that Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
When the iqamah is pronounced for prayer, do not come to it running, but come walking(slowly). You should observe tranquility. The part of the prayer you get(along with the imam) offer it, and the part you miss complete it(afterwards). إذا أقيمت الصلاة فلا تأتوها تسعون وأتوها تمشون وعليكم السكينة فما أدركتم فصلوا وما فاتكم فأتموا
