The reciter: And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, and Abu al-Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us from Uthman ibn Mu'awiyah from Sa'id ibn Yasar from Ibn Abbas, who said: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلّم يقرأ في ركعتي الفجر قولوا ءامَنّا بِاللَّهِ وَما أُنزِلَ إِلَينا و التي في ءال عمران تَعالَوا إِلى كَلِمَةٍ سَواءٍ بَينَنا وَبَينَكُم The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite in the two rak'ahs of Fajr: "Say, 'We believe in Allah and in what has been revealed to us,'" and the verse in Surat al-Imran: "Come to a word of equal standing between us and you.".
