The reciter: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. And may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
Imam al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said in the Book of Hajj, in the chapter on perfume during ihram:
Muhammad ibn Yusuf narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us from Mansur from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to anoint himself with oil. I mentioned this to Ibrahim, and he said: What do you do with his statement? Al-Aswad narrated to me from 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said:
As if I were now observing the glitter of the scent in the parting of the hair of the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was Muhrim? كأني أنظر إلى وبيص الطيب في مفارق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وهو محرم
Sahih al-Bukhari 1537, 1538

The Shaykh : This means that he seemed to disapprove of anointing with oil, so it was clarified to him that this is not disapproved of. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), after entering the state of ihram, the sheen of musk could be seen in his partings. "Sheen" means its shine and luster.
