The questioner : Your brother has been an employee for four years, and he spends on his family from his salary, but he does not perform the prayer or he abandons it. What is the ruling on benefiting from his money? May Allah reward you with good.
The Shaykh : First, I offer advice to your brother. I say to him: Fear Allah in yourself. Establish the prayer. If one abandons the prayer, it is disbelief that expels one from the religion. Do not remain in disbelief, for you will be among the people of the Fire.
And I say to you: Take what he gives you if you are in need, otherwise do not take anything from him. And if you think that if you return what he gives you, it will be a cause for him to return to his religion, then return it, so that perhaps he will be ashamed and evaluate himself, and he will return to his religion.
The questioner : May Allah bless you.
