The reciter: Abdullah ibn Munir narrated to us: He heard Abu Hatim al-Asahl ibn Hatim narrate to us: Ibn Awn narrated to us from Thumamah ibn Anas from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
I entered with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) upon a young man who was a tailor. A bowl containing a thick soup was brought to him. He turned to his work. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to pick out the dates. I followed him, placing them before him. I have loved dates ever since.
دخلت مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على غلام له خياط فقدم إليه قصعةً فيها ثريد قال وأقبل على عمله قال فجعل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يتتبع الدباء قال فجعلت أتتبعه فأضعه بين يديه قال فما زلت بعد أحب الدباء
