The reciter: Isma'il narrated to us, saying: Malik narrated to me from Ishaq ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Talhah that he heard Anas ibn Malik say:
A tailor invited the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to a meal he had prepared. Anas said: So I went with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to that meal. Bread made from barley and a stew containing dried fruit and dried meat were brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Anas said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) picking out the dried fruit from around the bowl, and I have loved dried fruit ever since that day. And Thumamah narrated from Anas: So I used to gather the dried fruit in front of him.
إن خياطًا دعا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لطعام صنعه قال أنس فذهبت مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى ذلك الطعام فقرب إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خبزًا من شعير ومرقًا فيه دباء وقديد قال أنس فرأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يتتبع الدباء من حول القصعة فلم أزل أحب الدباء من يومئذ وقال ثمامة عن أنس فجعلت أجمع الدباء بين يديه
