The reciter: Ahmad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us: Ishaq ibn Sa'id ibn 'Amr informed us from his father that he heard him narrate from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both):
That he entered upon Yahya ibn Sa'id, and a boy from the Banu Yahya was tying up a hen to throw at it. Ibn 'Umar walked over to it until he untied it, then he took it and the boy with him and said, "Discourage your boy from restraining this bird for slaughter, for I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibit restraining a domesticated animal or anything else for slaughter."
