The Shaykh : The time of zawal is the time for the adhan of the Zuhr prayer, and you have two ways to know it:
The first way: Divide the time between the sunrise and the sunset in half. If we assume that the sun rises at twelve o'clock and sets at twelve o'clock, when is the zawal?

The questioner : When!

The Shaykh : O people! Divide the time between the sunrise and the sunset in half, and the half is the zawal. If we assume that the sun rises at twelve o'clock and sets at twelve o'clock, what is the time of zawal?

The questioner : Six o'clock.

The Shaykh : Six o'clock, clear. This is one way.
Another way: Place a stick or any upright object and observe it. As long as its shadow is shortening, the sun has not reached zawal. If its shadow increases, even by a single hair, the sun has reached zawal. Yes.
