The examples of the Companions regarding their specificity: Do they not indicate that specification is possible?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The examples of the Companions regarding their specificity do not indicate that specification is possible more than once. He asks: Do we have a specific ruling or a general one? This indicates that it is possible to specify certain times or certain [matters]?

The Shaykh : Yes, this is not specific to the ruling, but it is specific to a matter that does not exist except in its time. For example, the case of Abu Dharr in the issue of tamattu': Is it specific to us? He said:
Rather, it is for eternity. بل للأبد
And in another wording, it is specific to you. Shaykh al-Islam said that its meaning is that the obligation to break the contract is specific to them, and as for others, it is until the Day of Resurrection. You will never find this again, and the wisdom in this is clear: the Shari'ah is tied to meanings and attributes, not to individuals. Allah the Exalted does not look at one person over another except when He knows, Exalted is He, that they are worthy of the attributes, so He places these attributes in them and establishes the ruling for them.
