Explanation of the Book of Clothing-02a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reader: Qays ibn Hafs narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, saying: Al-A'mash narrated to us, saying: Abu al-Dhuhya narrated to me, saying: Masruq narrated to me, saying: Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah narrated to me, saying:
The Prophet (ﷺ) went to answer the call of nature, and when he returned انطلق النبي صلى الله عليه وسلّم لحاجته ثم أقبل
Sahih al-Bukhari 5798
..

The Shaykh : Is there a continuous chain in this, or not? In the chain of narration?
The student: No.

The Shaykh : Yes?
The student: In the narration.

The Shaykh : The continuous chain is in the narration, even if the wording differs, with some saying "narrated to me" and some saying "narrated to us," yes.
The reader: He said
The Prophet (ﷺ) went to answer the call of nature, and when he returned, I met him with water and he performed the ablution while he was wearing a Sham, cloak. He rinsed his mouth, put the water in his nose and blew it out, washed his face and tried to take his hands out of his sleeves, but they were too narrow, so he took out his hands from under his chest and washed them and then passed his wet hands over his head and Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather).
Sahih al-Bukhari 5798
.

The Shaykh : May Allah send prayers and peace upon him.

The questioner : From under his body.

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner : His body.
The reader:
he took out his hands from under his chest فأخرج يديه من تحت الجبة
Sahih al-Bukhari 5798
.

The Shaykh : Yes, do you have "from under his body" in your copy? This is the version. Yes.
The reader:
passed wet hands over his head and over his leather socks ومسح برأسه وعلى خفيه
Sahih al-Bukhari 2918
.
