The reciter: Abdullah ibn Yusuf narrated to us, saying: Malik informed us, from Abdullah ibn Dinar, from Abdullah ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade that a Muhrim should wear clothes dyed with Saffron or Wars, and said, "Whoever has no shoes can put on Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather) after cutting it below the ankles." نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلّم أن يلبس المحرم ثوبا مصبوغا بزعفران أو ورس، وقال: من لم يجد نعلين فليلبس خفين، وليقطعهما أسفل من الكعبين
