The reciter: And Yahya ibn Yahya narrated to us, saying: I read to Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade that a Muhrim should wear clothes dyed with Saffron or Wars نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يلبس المحرم ثوبًا مصبوغًا بزعفرانٍ أو ورسٍ
Sahih al-Bukhari 5852
. He said:
One who does not find shoes (to wear) he may wear stockings, but (only) after trimming them below the ankles. من لم يجد نعلين، فليلبس الخفين وليقطعهما أسفل من الكعبين
