The reciter: Ahmad ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Abdullah informed us, Yahya ibn Sa'id informed us, Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim informed us, from his father, from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who said:
I applied perfume to the Prophet (ﷺ) with my own hands when he wanted to assume the state of Ihram, and I also perfumed him at Mina before he departed from there (to perform Tawaf-al-Ifada). طيبت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلّم بيدي لحرمه، وطيبته بمنى قبل أن يُفيض

The Shaykh : "For his state of consecration" means for his entering the state of consecration, as the other narration explains it:
I used to apply perfume to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) before his entering upon the state of Ihram and at the conclusion of it, before circumambulating the House (for Tawaf Ifada). كنت أطيّب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلّم لإحرامه قبل أن يحرم ولحلّه قبل أن يطوف بالبيت
