Is the edge of a bed considered a sutrah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He is asking about the edge of the bed...

The Shaykh : Is it?

The questioner : Is the edge of the bed considered a sutrah?

The Shaykh : No, it is not considered a sutrah. However, if someone passes behind it, it does not harm the one praying, because it is behind the place of his prostration. A person has three situations: sometimes he places a sutrah and stands close to it, in which case the consideration is what is between him and his sutrah; sometimes he places a sutrah but stands far from it, in which case he has no right to anything beyond the place of his prostration; and sometimes he does not place a sutrah. If he is praying on a bed, his sutrah is the edge of the bed if he is close to it. If he is not praying on a bed, his limit is the end of his prostration. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good, O honorable Shaykh.
