Benefits of the Hadith: (No one will be questioned on the Day of Resurrection except that he will be destroyed)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And in this hadith is evidence that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would discuss with the Companions what was unclear to them from the Book of Allah, because Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) discussed with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) using the Book of Allah
(7) Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, (8) He will be judged with an easy account فأما من أوتي كتابه بيمينه فسوف يحاسب حسابا يسيرا
[Al-Inshiqaq 84:7-8]
And from this benefit branches out something more important than it, which is that the Companions did not leave anything that the Ummah needs without clarifying it and asking about it; and what they did not ask about is clear and does not need to be asked about. But I, but as I told you before, they do not ask about cosmic matters, except rarely, but rather they ask about what? About the
The reader: legal matters

The Shaykh : legal matters, and we gave you an example of that, and we are not far from it. What is it?
The reader: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the hadith of the Dajjal, he said that the days will lengthen until the year is like a day, and the week is like a month. So they did not ask him, saying how

The Shaykh : the first day is like a year, the second like a month, the third day like a week, and the rest like our days
The reader: So they did not ask, saying how will this be? But they asked about the manner of prayer. So they did not ask about the cosmic matter, but rather they asked about the legal matter

The Shaykh : They did not ask about the day how it will be a year, whether the sun will be delayed, or how, and what else until the end, it is delayed, yes. And by this we also know the weakness of the narration that the rhetoricians pass down, under the title "The Style of the Wise," when they said that the Companions asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), "What is the matter with the crescent moon appearing small, then growing large, then becoming small again?" So Allah the Exalted revealed:
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the new moons. Say, "They are measurements of time for the people and for Hajj." يسألونك عن الأهلة قل هي مواقيت للناس والحج
[Al-Baqarah 2:189]
The rhetoricians claim that the Companions asked the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) why the crescent moon first appears small, then grows large, so Allah the Exalted said:
They ask you about the new moonsيسألونك عن الأهلة
meaning about its smallness and largeness
Say, "They are measurements of time for the people قل هي مواقيت للناس
[Al-Baqarah 2:189]
And they said: This is an answer to the questioner with what is not expected, and they called that "The Style of the Wise." If the answer had been according to the question, if the question were valid, it would have been: It becomes smaller as it approaches, approaches the sun, because the crescent moon, the closer it is to the sun, the less its light is, and the further it is, the more its light is. For this reason, when there is a distance between them like the distance between the east and the west, it becomes full of light. But this is a matter of divine decree that has no connection to the Shari'ah. But this which the rhetoricians claimed is not correct. It is not authentic that this was the cause of revelation. Rather, the cause of revelation was: "The crescent moons, what is the wisdom behind them?" So Allah explained the wisdom. This question, yes, yes. The important thing is that this hadith contains evidence that the Companions discuss with the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) what is unclear to them, whether it was unclear to them from the beginning or became unclear to them due to the revelation of verses from the Qur'an upon them, yes.
