The student: What is the evidence that Allah will judge people in half a day?

The Shaykh : First: there are hadiths that have been reported on this, and second: the saying of Allah the Exalted:
The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place. أصحاب الجنة يومئذ خير مستقرا وأحسن مقيلا
[Al-Furqan 25:24]
and the resting place does not occur except in the middle of the day.
