The Reciter: Al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Chapter: The saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Ma'idah 5:38], in what amount is the hand cut off, and the cutting of Ali from the palm”.
And Qatadah said, regarding a woman who stole and whose left hand was cut off: “It is nothing but that”.
