Our position regarding beggars in the mosques: do we prevent them or do we ascertain their condition?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The matter of begging, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : As for the matter of begging, the reality is that people spoil things for one another. Some of the beggars beg, may Allah protect us, while they are in abundance. This applies to the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):
The man will keep asking people until the Day of Resurrection comes and there is not a piece of flesh on his face. لا يزال الرجل يسأل الناس حتى يأتي يوم القيامة وما في وجهه مزعة لحم
, his face has been stripped of flesh and the bones have become visible, may Allah protect us. If you know that he is wealthy, it is obligatory for you to drive him away and to make his wealth clear to the people so that they are not deceived by him. If it is most likely in your opinion that he is wealthy, do not give to him and advise him. If you are in doubt about the matter, leave it to Allah, and you are not required to respond to him with anything.
However, it remains to be considered that some of the beggars stand before the congregation and speak in a loud voice, disturbing the people's dhikr after the prayer, or they continue speaking until they disturb those who wish to stand up and perform voluntary prayer. Such a person is prevented, and it is said to him: "Go out to the door of the mosque from the outside."
