The Shaykh : O Allah, send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah.
That the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say when he stood up for prayer in the middle of the night: "O Allah, to You belongs all praise. You are the Light of the heavens and the earth. To You belongs all praise. You are the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth. To You belongs all praise. You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them. You are the Truth, Your promise is the Truth, Your word is the Truth, meeting You is the Truth, Paradise is the Truth, the Fire is the Truth, and the Hour is the Truth. O Allah, to You I have submitted, in You I have believed, upon You I have relied, to You I have turned, with You I have disputed, and to You I have referred the judgment. So forgive me what I have done before and after, what I have kept secret and what I have made public. You are my Lord, there is no god but You."
أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلّم كان يقول إذا قام إلى الصلاة من جوف الليل: اللهم لك الحمد أنت نور السماوات والأرض ولك الحمد أنت قيام السماوات والأرض ولك الحمد أنت رب السماوات والأرض ومن فيهن أنت الحق ووعدك الحق وقولك الحق ولقاؤك حق والجنّة حق والنار حق والساعة حق، اللهم لك أسلمت وبك ءامنت وعليك توكلت وإليك أنبت وبك خاصمت وإليك حاكمت فاغفر لي ما قدمت وأخرت وأسررت وأعلنت أنت إلهي لا إله إلا أنتThe Shaykh : O Allah, send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah.
