The reader: And Muhammad ibn Rafi' narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, saying: Ma'mar narrated to us from Hammam ibn Munabbih, saying: This is what Abu Hurayrah narrated to us from Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He mentioned several hadiths, among which was that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When anyone of you gets up to pray at night, and his tongue stumbles over the words of the Qur’an, and he does not know what he is saying, let him lie down. إذا قام أحدكم من الليل فاستعجم القرءان على لسانه فلم يدري ما يقول فليضطجع
