We said that the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas abrogates the hadith of Ibn 'Umar, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not clarify that.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. If the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas had abrogated the hadith of Ibn 'Umar, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would have clarified that the first command had been abrogated, because the Companions were newly acquainted with this first command, and many of them were striving to do the same.

The Shaykh : What is this? This is a baseless objection, because it is not required that when the abrogating text comes, the Shari'ah should say: "This is an abrogation of what came before."
