Did al-Daraqutni grade this narration as defective because Ibn al-Zubayr was uncertain? Is this correct?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Al-Daraqutni and a select group of other scholars graded this hadith as defective. The defect is that Abu al-Zubayr heard it from Jabir. It is not because Abu al-Zubayr’s narration from Jabir, other than through the narration of al-Layth ibn Sa'd, contains concealment of a defect (tadlis). Rather, it is because Abu al-Zubayr here thought, or was uncertain. So what is your opinion on this?
This uncertainty is only regarding its attribution to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He thought he attributed it to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) only. But if he did not have a strong presumption, and if "thought" here means a strong presumption, he would not have narrated it.

The questioner : ... Is it stopped at a Companion or attributed to the Prophet? Does it serve as evidence?

The Shaykh : No, but it has corroborating narrations. It is a statement of a Companion with corroborating narrations. However, we do not rule that it is stopped at a Companion as long as he said: "I think he attributed it to the Prophet." And "thought" means presumption, and it has corroborating narrations that strengthen it.

The questioner : What does "thought" mean?

The Shaykh : It means presumption. And if it has corroborating narrations that strengthen it, it is strengthened by them. The questioner : What are the corroborating narrations?

The Shaykh : The hadith of Ibn Abbas and Ibn Umar.
