The Book of Hajj-05a

The reciter: And Muhammad ibn Hatim narrated to me, saying: Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, who said: Abu al-Zubayr informed me, from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: Sahih Muslim 1214.
The Shaykh : In this is evidence for the weakness of the position of those scholars (may Allah have mercy on them) who say that one declares the intention for Hajj on the Day of Tarwiyah from the Sacred Mosque, and some of them said: one declares the intention from under the spout—the spout of the Ka'bah. But they did not realize that this scholar is among the many who perform Hajj. If we told people that everyone must declare the intention from under the spout, they would not be able to do so. However, scholars speak according to their own time, even though this opinion is very weak. The correct view is that people declare the intention on the Day of Tarwiyah from their locations; whoever is in Makkah enters the state of ihram from Makkah, and whoever is in al-Hill enters the state of ihram from al-Hill, in any place.
the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered us to put on Ihram (again) as we proceeded towards Mina after we had put it off (i. e. 'on the 8th of Dhu'l-Hijja). So we pronounced Talbiya at al-Abtah.
