The reciter: And Muhammad ibn Ma'mar ibn Rubayy al-Qaysi said: Abu Hashim al-Mughirah ibn Salamah al-Makhzumi narrated to us, from Abu Awana, from Abu Bashir, from Ata ibn Abi Rabah, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said:
We set out with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as Muhrim for Hajj. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to make this Ihram for Umra, and some put it off (after performing 'Umra), but the Prophet (ﷺ) had sacrificial animals with him, so he could not make it (this Ihram) as that of Umra.
قدمنا مع رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم مهلّين بالحجّ ، فأمرنا رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلّم أن نجعلها عمرةً ونحلّ ، قال : وكان معه الهدي ، فلم يستطع أن يجعلها عمرةً .
