The reciter: And 'Abd ibn Humayd narrated to us, saying: 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, saying: Ma'mar informed us from al-Zuhri from 'Urwah from 'A'ishah
that the Prophet married her when she was seven, she was brought to live with him when she was nine bringing her toys with her, and he died when she was eighteen أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم تزوجها وهى بنت سبع سنين وزفت إليه وهى بنت تسع سنين ولعبها معها ومات عنها وهى بنت ثمان عشرة

The Shaykh : Allah is the Greatest! He played with her because she was young, and playing with young girls is among the most beloved things. One brings her a toy car and she does not accept it, one brings her something else and she does not accept it, she does not accept anything but a doll. You find her singing to it and dressing it up, and if it is possible to wash it, she washes it, and she places it near the air conditioner and turns it on for her on hot days so that she cools down, and in winter she covers her with blankets. Yes, and there is no doubt that this brings joy to the girl, and it is from the wisdom of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), so that she becomes accustomed to being gentle with her children. For this reason, we do not find this desire in boys; we do not find the desire, we find it in girls, and this is from the wisdom of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
