Ruling on marrying the daughter of one's brother's daughter

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was sent to us by a listener from Khalis, who called himself "The Young Man of Tal'ah." He asks and says: If my brother's daughter has a daughter, may I marry her?

Answer:
Your brother's daughter and your brother's daughter's daughter are mahram (forbidden to marry). You may not marry your brother's daughter or her daughters, no matter how far down the line they go. Your brother's daughter, your brother's daughter's daughter, your brother's son's daughter, and your brother's son's daughter's daughter are all mahram. You are their paternal uncle, no matter how far down the line they go.
Therefore, it is not permissible for you to marry any of them, by the consensus of the Muslims; because Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has forbidden the daughters of brothers among the prohibited categories.
And the daughters of brothers include those who are close and those who are distant: the daughters of brothers, the daughters of a brother's son, and the daughters of a brother's son's daughter, meaning: no matter how far down the line they go.
So the conclusion is that the daughters of brothers and the daughters of a brother's son, no matter how far down the line they go, are mahram to their paternal uncle. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
