The Book of Marriage, Breastfeeding, Divorce, Mutual Oath-Swearing, and Manumission-05a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Reciter: Abu al-Tahir and Harimah ibn Yahya narrated to us, and the wording is that of Harimah. Abu al-Tahir said: He narrated to us. And Harimah said: Ibn Wahb informed us. He said: Yunus informed me from Ibn Shihab. He said: Urwah ibn al-Zubayr informed me that Aisha, the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), informed him:
That Rafi' al-Qurazi divorced his wife, and she completed her waiting period. Then she married 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Zubayr after him. She came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, she was under the marriage of Rafi', and he divorced her with the final of three divorces. Then she married 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Zubayr after him. And by Allah, he has nothing with her except like a tassel. And she took a tassel from her outer garment. He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and laughed, and said: Perhaps you want to return to Rafi'? No, not until he tastes your sweetness and you taste his sweetness. Abu Bakr al-Siddiq was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and Khalid ibn Sa'id ibn al-'As was sitting at the door of the chamber, and he was not given permission to enter. He said: Khalid began calling out to Abu Bakr: Do you not restrain this woman from what she is saying loudly in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?
.

The Shaykh : His saying "calling out to Abu Bakr": How do we parse "Abu Bakr"? No, yes?
The student: A vocative is in the accusative case.

The Shaykh : It is a vocative, as evidenced by the first wording where he said in the first wording "O Abu Bakr." So he is calling out "O Abu Bakr." It is permissible in another way, but it is the weaker position, that it is an object of the verb. Yes, and this hadith is explicit in that he divorced her with the final of what? The final of three divorces, yes.
