The Book of Faith-02a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: And 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Umar al-Qawariri narrated to us, and Hammad ibn Zayd narrated to us, saying: "A man had attached himself to Ayub and listened to his teachings, but Ayub missed him. They said, 'O Abu Bakr, he has attached himself to 'Amr ibn 'Ubayd.' Hammad said: One day, while I was with Ayub and we had gone to the market early, the man met him. Ayub greeted him and asked about him, then Ayub said to him, 'It has reached me that you have attached yourself to that man.' Hammad said: He named him, meaning 'Amr. He said, 'Yes, O Abu Bakr, he brings us strange things.' Ayub said to him, 'It is those strange things that we fear or are separated from.'"
