The reciter: Abdullah ibn Hashim al-Abdi narrated to me, Bahz narrated to us, Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, from Thabit, who said: Anas said:

We were forbidden in the Qur'an to ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about anything.

كنّا نهينا في القرآن أن نسأل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن شيءٍ

and he related the hadith in the same manner.
