The Book of Faith-07a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, he said: Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan. And Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us, both of them from Qays ibn Muslim, from Tariq ibn Shihab - and this is the hadith of Abu Bakr - he said: The first one to begin the sermon on the day of the festival before the prayer was Marwan. A man stood up to him and said: "The prayer comes before the sermon." He said: "He has left what is there." Abu Sa'id said:
As for this man, he has fulfilled what is required of him. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand, and if he cannot, then with his tongue, and if he cannot, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith.
