The Book of Jihad, Military Expeditions, and Authority-06b

The reciter: And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah, Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna, and Ibn Bashar narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us from Shu'bah. And Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, al-Mulla' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, both of them from al-Aswad ibn Qays, with this chain of narration, similar to their hadith.

The Shaykh : The point of this hadith is that it is from the harm the polytheists inflicted upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), for their saying: There is no doubt that he was hurt by this, (peace and blessings be upon him), despite his trust in Allah, but a person is human.
