The Second Point: That the reality of the meaning of presence does not contradict elevation, so their combination is possible in the case of the created being, for it is said

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"The Second Point: That the reality of the meaning of presence does not contradict elevation, so their combination is possible in the case of the created being, for it is said: We have been walking and the moon is with us. This is not considered a contradiction, and no one understands from it that the moon has descended to the earth. If this is possible in the case of the created being, then it is even more so in the case of the Creator who encompasses everything, with His Exaltedness, because the reality of presence does not necessitate what? Being in the same place. To this point, Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah referred in *al-Fatwa al-Hamawiyyah*, page 103, volume five of *Majmu' al-Fatawa* by Ibn Qasim, where he said: 'And that is because the word (with) in the Arabic language, if used absolutely, its apparent meaning in the language is nothing but absolute companionship without the necessity of touching or being alongside on the right or left. If it is qualified by a meaning from the meanings, it indicates companionship in that meaning. For it is said: We have been walking and the moon is with us, or the star is with us. And it is said: This merchandise is with me because it is gathered with you, even if it is above your head. Allah is with His creation in reality, and He is above His Throne in reality.' End of quote" And he spoke the truth, may Allah have mercy on him, for whoever is knowledgeable about you, aware of you, presiding over you, hears what you say, sees what you do, and manages all your affairs, then he is with you in reality, even if he is above his Throne, and even if he is above his Throne in reality, because presence does not necessitate being in the same place.
