And there is no doubt that the first opinion is invalid from two aspects

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said: "And there is no doubt that the first opinion is invalid".
What is the first opinion? That the ship is in the eye of Allah and that Musa is upon the eye of Allah. "It is invalid from two aspects:
The first is that the speech does not require it, according to the requirements of Arabic discourse and the Noble Qur'an, which was revealed in the language of the Arabs. Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand. إنا أنزلناه قرآنا عربيا لعلكم تعقلون
[Yusuf 12:2]
And He said:
(193) The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down (194) Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - (195) In a clear Arabic language. نزل به الروح الأمين على قلبك لتكون من المنذرين بلسانٍ عربي مبين
[Ash-Shu'ara 26:193-195]
And no one understands from the statement of one who says, 'So-and-so walks with my eye,' that the meaning is that he walks inside his eye. "
Does anyone understand this? No one understands it. All the Arabs do not understand this meaning, and they understand that the eye accompanies this person, accompanying him. So what is the 'ba' (with) for them? It is for accompaniment, not for location. Everyone understands this. Likewise, the upbringing of Musa is under the eye of Allah, who watches over him and protects him with it. The meaning is not that the upbringing is above the eye. This is an invalid meaning that no intellect accepts. And this is the meaning of the statement of some of the Salaf, 'within my sight,' for if Allah the Exalted protects him with His eye, it necessarily follows that He sees him. And a necessary part of the correct meaning is part of it, as is the indication of the wording, whether by correspondence, inclusion, or implication.
Now, for example, a person says to you, 'O so-and-so, I want you to do such and such,' and you say, 'Upon my eye.' What does 'upon my eye' mean? It means I am ready for this, and it does not mean that you are upon my eye. This is an apparent expression. So our interpretation, as we are the people of the Sunnah, of the verse, that its meaning is that it sails and the eye of Allah accompanies it with sight, does this contradict the apparent wording? It does not contradict. We say this is not out of stubbornness for our opinion, but this is the meaning of the speech that does not admit of any other. Likewise,
And you shall make it before My eyes لتصنع على عيني
means within my sight, I see you with my eye and I guide you, and so it happened. Musa was raised in the house of Pharaoh, who was killing the Children of Israel for the sake of Musa. So Allah the Majestic and Exalted said, 'This one for whom you kill people will be raised in your house.' And this is the secret in His saying:
And make it with my eyes ولتصنع على عيني
Allah made easy for him this righteous woman, so he was raised by her, the wife of Pharaoh. He was raised by her in the house of Pharaoh, praise be to Allah. So it is now clear that those who have caused us trouble and alienated us are only harming themselves, where their defects have become apparent, and that they do not want anything but falsehood. And glory be to Allah, is this our interpretation of the saying:
It runs with our eyes تجري بأعيننا
with this interpretation, like the interpretation of those regarding the saying of Allah the Exalted:
to that which I created with My hands لما خلقت بيدي
[Sad 38:75]
meaning by My power. Does Allah have two powers or one? One power, by which He is able to do everything. And whoever reflects on these objections will see that these deniers of the attributes have a bias and do not want the truth.
