The Shaykh :"And His saying
There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11]
and His saying
And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge
[Al-Isra 17:36]
"
"Taqaf" means to follow, derived from "qafa" (the back), because the one who follows is behind the person.
that about which you have no knowledge
[Hud 11:46]
Whatever you have no knowledge of, do not follow it. For this reason, it came in the hadith:
It is enough falsehood for a man to relate everything he hears.
Sunan Abi Dawud 4992Sahih (Al-Albani)
So, as a human being, you should be at peace and not spread every piece of information you hear.
I have told you about a group that came to us from Afghanistan, and they told us that there is some shirk (associating partners with Allah) among them, and so on and so on. They brought a book from their writings. In the past day and the day before, some people from Riyadh came to me saying that this is a lie, and that this group is a group of Salafis who are very strict, and that they were not prepared to be accepted quickly. They wanted to tarnish the reputation of these Afghan fighters. And based on this, we are now left between two scales...
The student: A few of them.

The Shaykh : Yes
The student: A few of them, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : A few of them, what?
The student: ... the monotheists.

The Shaykh : So we are left between... Therefore, what is our position now that the other scale has come? We do not pursue that of which we have no knowledge. We say we leave it, and we ask Allah for their rectitude and steadfastness, and that He will grant them victory over their enemy, and we are content with that. And as long as the matter is in turmoil and there is contradiction in the statements, the obligatory thing is silence. It is obligatory that we remain silent. Yes, yes.
The student:
And most of them believe not in Allah except while they associate others with Him.
[Yusuf 12:106]

The Shaykh : May Allah guide them, may Allah guide them.
