The Shaykh :"And this companionship necessitates for the one who believes in it perfect mindfulness of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

The best of faith is that you know that Allah is with you wherever you are

أفضل الإيمان أن تعلم أن الله معك حيثما كنت

" This companionship, if a person believes in it, necessitates for him perfect mindfulness. For example, suppose a man is in his house and there is no one from the creation with him, and he intends to commit a sin. If he knows that Allah is with him, meaning He is watching him and nothing of His affairs escapes Him, will he do it or not? Yes? No, he will not do it, and he cannot do it, because he fears Allah and is shy of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Allah the Exalted is the most deserving of being shy of. For this reason, some people approximate the issue by saying: What do you think if the person closest to you were with you, and you intended to commit a sin, would you do it? What is the answer? You would not do it. So if this is your shyness from the creation, let your shyness from the Creator be greater, greater, and greater. For this reason, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) praised those who fear their Lord... in secret, because those who fear their Lord in secret are those who feared Allah (Mighty and Majestic) with a true fear that is not mixed with any doubt.
