Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :“And upon his family and his Companions who proceeded in supporting his religion with a swift pace” By Allah, the Companions of the Messenger: it is obligatory upon the Ummah after them to be grateful to them, because they proceeded in supporting his religion with a swift pace. No one was ever like them in their support, and that is because they struggled in the cause of Allah, emigrated in the path of Allah, fought and were killed, and were expelled from their homes and their wealth. History is a witness to this. No one will ever be found like them after them. For this reason, he said: “They proceeded in supporting his religion with a swift pace” He said: “And upon their followers” Followers of whom? We can say followers of everyone who came before, which includes the followers of the Messenger, the followers of the family, and the followers of the Companions. Their followers who inherited their knowledge. Yes, those who came after them inherited their knowledge. To whom does the merit belong? To the first group. The merit belongs to the first group, for they gave the knowledge to those who came after them in a complete and clear form. So the first group is the source of inheritance, and the second group is the inheritor.
