Explanation of the Book of Purification-09

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
Khawlah said: O Messenger of Allah, what if the blood does not go away? He said: Water is sufficient for you, and its trace will not harm you. قالت خولة يا رسول الله فإن لم يذهب الدّم؟ قال: يكفيك الماء ولايضرّك أثره
"

Khawlah said, and in my view she is the daughter of Yasar, "O Messenger of Allah, what if the blood does not go away?" She meant its color, meaning after she scrapes it, then rubs it, then sprinkles it with water, and the blood did not go away. He said:
(Washing it with) water will suffice you and its trace won’t harm you يكفيك الماء ولا يضرّك أثره
Bulugh al-Maram 31
The trace here is the color. However, if any part of its substance remains, then it is not sufficient. Likewise, odor, like color, if it is difficult to remove, then it does not harm.
