The Muslim's Provisions: (So Umm Salama said: "Will this happen?" He said: "Yes, so from where does the resemblance come?")

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"Al-Musnad of Muslim adds: 'So Umm Salama said'": and she is one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
"
“Does this happen (to a woman)?” He (ﷺ) said: “Yes, otherwise where does the resemblance (of a child to its mother) come from?” وهل يكون هذا ؟ قال : نعم فمن أين يكون الشبه ؟
Bulugh al-Maram 111
"
: meaning, does the woman have a fluid like the man's fluid?
He said:
Yes نعم
, then he brought a tangible, real proof, which is the resemblance, for a person resembles his mother and resembles his father. So the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
How else would (her child) resemble her? من أين يكون الشبه ؟
Sunan an-Nasa'i 196Sahih (Darussalam)
If the man's fluid did not mix with the woman's fluid, there would be no resemblance of the child to his mother.
