The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: << خلق الله السموات والأرض بالحق إن في ذلك لأية للمؤمنين >

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Exalted Allah said:
Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth. Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
[Al-Ankabut: 44]. In this verse, there are benefits. First, is the Creator of the heavens and the earth Allah or not?
Allah created the heavensخلَقَ الله السماوات
Because we do not know; if someone were to say, "There is no restriction in the verse, so why do you say the Creator is Allah?" We say: Yes, there is no restriction by the known methods, but there is a restriction in the sense that there are no heavens and earth other than one set. If the Creator of them is Allah, it is negated that anyone other than Him is their Creator. Yes.
And among its benefits is the refutation of the people of nature, may Allah protect us from them, who say that the heavens and the earth have no Creator, that they are things that interact, transform, and fluctuate, and that creation has no beginning and no end.
And among its benefits is the affirmation of the createdness of the heavens and the earth, and that they are not ancient. From where do we take this?
He created the heavensخلق السماوات
They are created after non-existence, and everything other than Allah is created after non-existence.
And among its benefits is that the heavens are how many in number?
The student: Seven heavens.

The Shaykh : Yes, it is clarified in other verses as seven.
And among its benefits is also that the earth is one?
The student: The meaning is the genus.

The Shaykh : The meaning is the genus. Good, in the Qur'an, is the earth ever pluralized or not? But its pluralization is indicated in the saying of the Exalted Allah:
It is Allah who has created seven heavens and of the earth, the like of them الله الذي خلق سبع سماوات ومِن الأرض مثلهن
[At-Talaq 65:12]
Is the similarity here in description impossible or not? Because there is no comparison between the heavens and the earth. If similarity in description is impossible, we return to similarity in number, and the Sunnah has come explicitly regarding that, such as his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
encircled it from seven earths طُوِّقَه مِن سبع أراضين
Yes.
And among the benefits of the verse is that the creation of these heavens and the earth is with the truth, not in vain, not for play, and not falsehood, due to His saying:
with the truth بالحق
.
And among its benefits is also that they contain the truth, so their creation, which is the origin of their existence, is with the truth, and they also contain the truth. Nothing can happen in the heavens and the earth except with the truth.
Good, among its benefits is also the tranquility of the human being regarding what Allah creates in the heavens and the earth, or some tranquility. What is the basis of that, my brothers? I mentioned the benefit, so what is its basis? It appears that you are relying on this, and it is being recorded for you and you read it?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Good, what is the basis of it causing tranquility?
The student: With the truth.

The Shaykh : That it is with the truth. Everything that happens, as long as you know that it is with the truth, you are tranquil. Do I say why it happened and why it did not happen? Hunger, sickness, earthquakes, and floods have happened to people. I know that that is with the truth, so I am tranquil, I am satisfied, and I submit. And there is no true rest for the human being except with this. The human being cannot rest except with this if he believes in the decree and predestination of Allah and that it is truth, and he is completely tranquil. Otherwise, he will be disturbed, because there is no hour in which he does not find in it something that displeases him, either in himself, or his family, or his companions, or his country, or the Islamic countries in general. And the human being cannot be tranquil and stable until he believes that all these things are truth. Yes.
The student: And disputing the decrees.

The Shaykh : Disputing the decrees by the Shari'ah is obligatory. Good, there is also
The student: Meaning you are tranquil and you dispute.

The Shaykh : We dispute by the Shari'ah, not by the decree.
The student: Yes, but combining them.

The Shaykh : .. This combining of them. For example, if something from the decree comes that displeases us, we dispute it by the Shari'ah. If we are patient, that does not displease us. Yes. And so, disputing the decree by the Shari'ah is something obligatory; you must face the decree with what the Shari'ah requires. But disputing the decree by the decree is not permissible. Yes, you always bring Sufi words, I do not know what...
The student: No, they are Sufi, O Shaykh... I am the one who made me bring this.

The Shaykh : I do not like that you brought this, because it needs attention. Some people may be repelled by the word "dispute," and the meaning of dispute is facing. Yes.
Good, among the benefits of the verse is that the creation of the heavens and the earth is a sign indicating what this creation requires of the attributes of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And we have mentioned that among them is what indicates the power of Allah, the indication of the wisdom of Allah, and the indication of His might, according to what the verse requires.
And among its benefits is that only the believers benefit from the signs, due to His saying:
for the believers للمؤمنين
.
We benefit from this benefit a benefit that branches off: that whenever the faith of the servant is more complete, he increases in benefiting from the signs. The way to attain this benefit is what has preceded us more than once: that when a ruling is attached to a description, it increases in strength with its strength and decreases in weakness with its weakness. Every ruling that is attached to a description increases in strength with the strength of this description and decreases with its weakness. So we say: Thus, whenever the human being is more complete in faith, what appears to him of the signs of Allah in these creations is more than what appears to those below him. Do you understand this, my brothers?
Exegesis
Good, the Exalted Allah said:
Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book اتل ما أوحي إليك من الكتاب
[Al-'Ankabut 29:45]
This is the beginning of the lesson, and there are five minutes left... We will take what is easy. What we have not taken, may Allah reward you?
