Do the people of Paradise sleep?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student: It is established that the people of Paradise... do not sleep.
The Shaykh : They do not sleep.
The student: Sleep is a delight in Paradise.

The Shaykh : It is a delight for us here because our bodies are weak and need rest, but they do not sleep there because sleep is only needed by a person to prepare for future activity and to rest from the fatigue of the past. As for the people of Paradise, they do not sleep because of the perfection of their life; they have no fatigue.
No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed. لَا يَمَسُّهُمْ فِيهَا نَصَبٌ وَمَا هُمْ مِنْهَا بِمُخْرَجِينَ
[Al-Hijr 15:48]
They do not sleep because they do not need it, and because sleep prevents one from enjoying the bliss and the enjoyment of what Allah has prepared for them. If a person sleeps, for example, ten hours out of twenty-four, he does not enjoy it unless he is granted pleasant dreams. He rests, but if his dreams are distorted, he gets up and tosses and turns on the pillow, sometimes covering his head with the pillow and sometimes looking around. Yes, but the people of Paradise do not sleep.
The student: Sometimes a person sleeps without...

The Shaykh : It is necessary, necessary for the body...
The student: He sleeps for rest.

The Shaykh : Well done. For rest. The important thing is for rest. And so, when he gets up, he finds himself energetic.

الْمُخْلَصِينَ Indeed, it is a tree that grows at the root of the Blazing Fire. Its fruit is like the heads of Shayatins. So they will eat from it and fill their bellies with it. Then, indeed, for them, there will be a mixture of boiling water. Then, indeed, their return will be to the Blazing Fire. Indeed, they found their fathers astray. So they hasten after their footsteps. And indeed, most of those before them have gone astray. And indeed, We sent among them warners. So look at how was the end of the warned, except for the chosen servants of Allah.
