The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: <<

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
And the family of Pharaoh picked him up [out of the river] so that he would become to them an enemy and a [cause of] grief
[Al-Qasas 28:8]
to the end of it. Among the benefits of this verse, first: that the followers and entourage of a man are considered part of his family, as indicated by the phrase "the family of Pharaoh." You know that the author interpreted this by saying: "Pharaoh's aides."
Also among its benefits is that a person, no matter how far he goes in arrogance and haughtiness, does not know the future. Where is this derived from? From the fact that the family of Pharaoh did not know that this child would become an enemy to them and a source of grief. Among its benefits is that the believers are enemies to the disbelievers, as He said:
so that he would become to them an enemy
[Al-Qasas 28:8]
and that they are also a source of grief to them. This is an obvious matter; the Muslims are enemies to the disbelievers, and they are also a source of grief to them. There is no doubt that they are treated with what pleases the disbelievers, and vice versa. Among the benefits of the verse is also that a person may strive for what brings about his own destruction, because these people strove for what brought about their destruction: they picked up this child who would become an enemy to them and a source of grief. Among its benefits is the clarification of the power of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), in that this young boy, whose people the Children of Israel were killing their sons, where was he raised? In the care of Pharaoh, in his house, even though Pharaoh was going around the children of the Children of Israel to kill them. So Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) said, meaning by the state of affairs: This is the one whose sons of the Children of Israel you are killing, and this is from their lineage, and he will live in your care. This is one of the greatest proofs of the power of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), and that a person should not rely on material causes, for Allah the Exalted changes things. Among its benefits is the clarification that Pharaoh, Haman, and their soldiers were upon falsehood, as He said:
Indeed, Pharaoh and Haman and their soldiers were deliberate sinners.
[Al-Qasas 28:8]
And He distinguishes between the one who errs intentionally and the one who errs unintentionally. The one who errs intentionally is the one who commits a sin deliberately, and the one who errs unintentionally is the one who commits it without intent, out of ignorance. In this comes proof that Haman, who was the minister of Pharaoh, had great authority in the kingdom of Pharaoh, as He said:
and their soldiers were deliberate sinners.
[Al-Qasas 28:8]
In several verses, Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) attributes the soldiers to Pharaoh alone. Considering that Pharaoh is the reference point for these soldiers, they are attributed to him alone. And considering that Haman has influence because he is a minister—I do not know if he was the minister of the interior or the exterior—they... he was the minister for all their affairs, so he is the minister, and a minister usually acts in the matters for which he is appointed.
