Is Allah described as being silent?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : We said that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) speaks whenever He wills.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : The time in which Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) did not will to speak.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : The time in which He did not will to speak.

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : Is it attributed to Him that He is silent here?

The Shaykh : The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
And He was silent about certain things out of mercy for you, so do not inquire about them. وسكت عن أشياء رحمة بكم فلا تبحثوا عنها
or he said:
So do not inquire about them. فلا تسئلوا عنها

The questioner : Such that it becomes an attribute, meaning

The Shaykh : Yes, because a human being ... speech ... silence, but we do not assert that there is absolute silence, because events are constant and continuous in every moment, and every matter that occurs, He simply says to it
The student: Be, and it is.

The Shaykh : Be, and it is
When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, "Be," and it is. إذا أراد شيئا فإنما يقول له كن فيكون
[Al-Baqarah 2:117]
and everything that happens is the will of Allah, so I do not think that absolute silence occurs with regard to Allah (Mighty and Majestic), but if He wills, He does it, meaning this is among the actions, among the attributes of action, but silence regarding a specific thing, yes, it is possible.
