And among them are: angels assigned to the fetuses in the wombs, others assigned to the protection of the children of Adam, and others assigned to recording their deeds; every person has two angels.

The Shaykh : Bismillah. In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
Among the creed of the people of the Sunnah and the community is faith in the angels, even though the angels are a hidden realm. However, the benefit of faith is that a person believes in the unseen just as he believes in what is seen. We may sometimes doubt our eyes and ears, but we do not doubt the news of Allah and His Messenger. So we believe in the existence of the angels as mentioned before, and in what is established regarding their deeds and their duties.
And among that is: "angels assigned to the fetuses in the wombs". The evidence for this is the hadith of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told us, and he is the truthful and the veracious, and he said:
The constituents of one of you are collected for forty days in his mother’s womb in the form of a drop, then they become a piece of congealed blood for a similar period, then they become a lump of flesh for a similar period. Then God sends to him an angel with four words who records his deeds, the period of his life, his provision, and whether he will be miserable or blessed: thereafter He breathes the spirit into him.
Mishkat al-Masabih 82Muttafaqun 'alayh (Zubair `Aliza'i)
.
"And among them are angels assigned to the protection of the children of Adam". Allah the Exalted said:
For each one are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah.
[Ar-Ra'd 13:11]
.
"And among them are angels assigned to recording their deeds; every person has two angels. Allah the Exalted said:
and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein (17) When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. (18) Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record].
[Qaf 50:16-18]
"
. These are two angels assigned to preserving deeds, one on the right and the other on the left.
Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer
[Qaf 50:18]
means: a watcher, a preserver.
A ready one
present, not absent from him. And His saying:
Man does not utter any word
[Qaf 50:18]
The grammarians say: the "min" here is extra, extra, extra. What does "extra, extra" mean? Extra in wording, extra in meaning. That is: it conveys a meaning in addition to what it would convey if it were not present. What is the added meaning? The added meaning is emphasis, because if the structure of the verse were "no word is uttered except with him," that would indicate that the watcher and the ready one is present at every word. But when He said:
of a word من قول
it became more eloquent in negation.
The parallel to that is His saying, the Exalted:
lest you say, "There came not to us أن تقولوا ما جاءنا
[Al-Ma'idah 5:19]
What is it?
any bringer of good tidings or a warner
[Al-Ma'idah 5:19]

And His saying
Man does not utter any word
[Qaf 50:18]
is an indefinite noun in the context of negation, emphasized by the extra "min," the extra one grammatically, which added meaning.
So, any word, with him is the watcher, the ready one. He writes this. He writes any word? We say: As for good deeds, they are written without doubt, and as for bad deeds, they are written without doubt, and as for _your name is Abkar, where did you go? Between us and Africa is the Red Sea, my son_ . Okay.
