The Shaykh : He said: "And we believe in intercession for those of the believers who enter the Fire, that they be brought out of it, and that it is for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and others among the prophets and the believers and the angels".
This is for three categories: the prophets, the believers—which includes the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous—and the third is the angels. So it is general regarding those who intercede.
"For those who enter the Fire, that they be brought out of it", and the hadiths regarding this have been mass-transmitted from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), as some of the scholars of excellence have recited in his saying:
"Among the mass-transmitted hadiths is the one about the liar, ** and the one who built a house for Allah and sought reward
And seeing the intercession and the Pool, ** and wiping over the leather socks, and these are some of them"
.
The hadiths regarding these have been mass-transmitted, but two innovating sects denied them, namely the Khawarij and the Mu'tazilah, based on their defective principle where they said: The doer of a major sin is eternal in the Fire, and intercession does not benefit him. Pay attention: although they are from the people of the qiblah and claim affiliation with Islam, they denied this intercession based on their defective principle, which is: that the doer of a major sin is eternal in the Fire, and if one is eternal in the Fire, then intercession does not benefit the one who is eternal in the Fire. Is that clear? Therefore, if a person supplicates for Allah to bring out of the Fire one who is eternal in it, he has transgressed in his supplication; he must repent. If he said: O Allah, bring Abu Lahab out of the Fire, O Allah, bring Abu Talib out of the Fire, we would say: You are now sinful; you must repent and seek forgiveness from Allah, because Allah the Exalted has decreed their eternity. Good.
This is a general category for the messengers and those who are not messengers.
