Explanation of the Book of Prayer-15

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The rewards of my people were presented before me, so much so that even the reward for removing a mote by a person from the mosque was presented to me. عرضت علي أجور أمتي حتى القذاة يخرجها الرجل من المسجد
Sunan Abi Dawud 461Da'if (Al-Albani)
"
.
It was shown to me عرضت عليّ
: This means it was revealed to me, it was revealed to me, because the rewards only occur afterwards, meaning on the Day of Resurrection. So what was shown to him, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, was that their reward was made clear to him.
And his saying:
the rewards of my Ummah أجور أمّتي
means the reward. Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) named the reward as "wages" out of His generosity (Blessed and Exalted is He), as if the servant is dealing with his Lord in the manner of a worker with his employer, or a worker with his hirer. It is known that a worker deals with his hirer through exchange, so he is obligated to pay the wages accurately. So it is as if Allah the Exalted made the deed and its reward like what? A lease contract. Similar to this is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him من ذا الذي يقرض الله قرضا حسنا فيضاعفه له
[Al-Baqarah 2:245]
It is known that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is rich, in need of neither us nor our loans, but He likened His dealing to a loan because of the obligation to repay the loan on the borrower. So it is as if Allah the Exalted guaranteed to the worker that He will reward him, just as the borrower returns the loan to the lender.
And his saying:
the rewards of my Ummah أجور أمّتي
the intended meaning is the Ummah of response, because the Ummah of invitation includes those who do not respond, and they have no reward. For this reason, we say that when "the Ummah" comes in a hadith, it has two meanings:
The first meaning is the Ummah of response, and this includes every person who reached the age of accountability from the time of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) mission. Yes, this is the Ummah of invitation. The Ummah of invitation includes every person who reached the age of accountability since the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent. The Ummah of response are those who responded to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and followed his Shari'ah.
